Here's the question: What do I love more, staying at the West Coast Surf & Stay or Dave, AnnMarie, Harvey, and Henry? To be honest, I will never know. This is the most special place ran by some of the most kind, fun, and cool people you will ever meet. The rooms are always spotless, the vibes are always immaculate, and the love that fills up this place knows no bounds. Every time I leave I am thinking about when I can come back!

Traveled here for business on Camp Pendleton, and I loved this place. The price was great, and the room was awesome. Dave, the owner, was very accommodating and went out of his way to make me feel at home here. The room was clean, comfortable, and the location is perfect. On a side note, the water pressure in the shower was amazing.

The best part about visiting San Clemente, California? The vibes. The second best part? The West Coast Surf and Stay. Over the last year, we’ve stayed here four separate times, and it’s the only move if you’re in the area. The owners are some of the kindest people on the planet. The mid-century modern warmth, combined with the incredible community you’re surrounded by, makes every stay feel like an extension of your own home.

Amazing stay at Dave’s West Coast Surf and Stay! Clean, comfy and perfectly located in beautiful San Clemente right across from the best Hawaiian restaurant (watch out for the huge portions!). It’s an awesome spot, close to Trestles and other great breaks. Perfect for surfers looking for a relaxed base with everything you need nearby. Highly recommend!

My fiancé and I had the absolute best experience at West Coast Surf and Stay. From the moment we arrived, Dave and Ann Marie were there to personally welcome us, which immediately made us feel right at home. They truly go above and beyond for their guests. They gave us amazing recommendations around town from places to eat to things to see and every single one was spot on. It felt less like staying somewhere new and more like visiting family. Their hospitality, kindness, and attention to detail made our trip so special. If you’re looking for a place that feels warm, welcoming, and genuine, West Coast Surf and Stay is it. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

My stay was incredibly warm! Dave was amazing. From accepting Amazon packages and delivering them to my doorstep, lending me a steamer, and sharing a Guava as soon as I showed up — Dave hooked it up. Incredible hospitality that was so greatly appreciated… awesome location close to downtown San Clemente too!

We had an amazing stay at West Coast Surf And Stay! Dave himself was super friendly and hospitable. He welcomed us like old friends, and gave us all the inside local knowledge about where to get the best food and drink (plenty within walking distance). He also set us up with a surf guide, Christian, who was himself an absolute legend. Great stay, super accessible, comfy beds, hot shower, great location and host. What more could you ask for?! We will be back!

Stayed here while surfing with a group. My room was clean with a comfortable bed and a/c, and the owners were very nice and helpful. The location is perfect for a surfing trip or if you're visiting San Clemente. The owner arranged an excellent surfing guide for our group who was extremely knowledgeable in surf instruction, and they took us to different surf spots in the area. Everyone associated with the Surf and Stay was great and treated us well. We had a great time staying there. Highly recommended!
